Rain, rain, go away, little girls want to play - Day 3

We started our day with a prayer to have no rain.  It was a good thing we did, because it rained the whole time we drove, but every time we stopped at one place or another, the Lord answered our prayers.  We had a beautiful day!  We were fascinated by the misty view of the Chattahoochee river, enjoyed the colorful leaves of Simpsonwood park, breathed the refreshing scent of the rain on cement, and couldn't stop taking pictures of Sarah, Genevieve and Illyria having fun at the Botanical Garden.  We ended our outing by stopping by for some eclairs at the best bakery in town!  A day well spent!

Cultural Immersion - Day 2

It was pouring rain like never before outside, so we decided to take our girls for an afternoon at the museum. Among other very fun exhibits (Mo Willems' art being one of them), there was a new exhibit in town, all the way from Vienna, Austria - the Habsburg Splendor: Masterpieces from Imperial Collections.  Sarah and I really enjoyed reminiscing on our Vienna visits, and the beauty and grace of this great city.  After we had our fill, and especially after the girls were done looking at paintings, we took them around the museum, and then stopped to let them play at Mo Willems' floor.  They sure had fun here - free and unrestrained they left no corner unexplored.
