Honors Chorus Concert

After eight hours of rehearsal, we picked up our girls and went walking through town.  We found a restaurant nearby and sat down to eat.  We needed to feed our hard working girls so they would have strength for the next day's rehearsal and concert.

On day two of our Athens trip, my friend Rebecca and I strolled through University of Georgia campus,  really enjoyed lunch at a South American restaurant, and in the afternoon loved hearing our girls sing their hearts out.  It was a wonderful time for Gillian to be a part of Honors Chorus working hard over eight hours practicing, and then performing beautifully in their Honors Chorus Concert.

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia

This weekend, my friend, Rebecca, and I were able to accompany our girls to the Annual District 13 Honor Chorus, a two day state chorus training. In the end of the two day rehearsal, each division showcased their music in a concert for all of the parents. This particular music district took place in Athens, Georgia. On our first day there, after dropping the girls off and making sure they had enough snacks, water, and moral support, we said goodbye to them, and decided to enjoy the beautiful weather by strolling through the Botanical Garden located near the University of Georgia. It was the perfect break that we both needed - no babies crying, no kids asking, no noises disturbing - just a peaceful walk in the woods. Utterly divine!
