Gillian's favorite things

The past few years I've interviewed my children on their birthdays, asking them questions about themselves. I like to hear and record their impressions of their life during the year, even though their memories are short term. Tonight, during question time, I interviewed Gillian, and although the boys were getting restless in their room because I was spending so much more time with Gillian than with them, I had a nice time hearing Gillian speak about herself and her life. 12. What have been some of your favorite activities of the past year?
Beside all the great fun we've had going to historical homes and museums in Virginia, and all the beaches and water parks here in California, I've really enjoyed reading, listening to books-on-tape, and playing with my family. My favorite activity of the past year is the party that my mom threw for me. I was glad I got baptized, and that my uncle Abel spent a month with us. He is a fun chap, and I learned a lot from him, like the fact that a child is born every seven seconds. I've had a good year.
